BIG OUTBACK TASTER - 2 days / 1 night
Departs Port Augusta, South Australia

DAY 1: From Port Augusta (we fly over Wilpena Pound, Flinders Ranges, Leigh Creek Coalfields & Aroona Dam for Etadunna Station along the Birdsville Track for morning tea. Back on board we head to Innamincka township. Here you will be take town tour, visit Bourkes grave and the old pioneer Bush Nursing Home before enjoying lunch at the Innamincka Hotel. Back on the plane we follow the Cooper Creek to the famous Dig Tree. After a short break here we depart over the gorgeous Coongie Lakes, the Strezlecki & Stoney Deserts, Lake Etamunbanie and more before arriving for your overnight stay at Birdsville. After settling in your room and a brief break, you will join the Big Red Sunset Tour. It is hard to beat, sitting on top of Big Red the first of many sand dunes in the Simpson desert, watching the beautiful sun set whilst enjoying a beer or wine and nibbles before returning for your evening meal at the iconic Birdsville Hotel.
DAY 2: Head over to the Birdsville Bakery for a hearty breakfast and a wander before heading off on a Birdsville Town tour where you will visit the towns artesian bore and other historical buildings before boarding your plane for your scenic flight over the spectacular Simpson Desert (Munga-Thirri National Park & Conservation Park), the Channel Country, Goyder Lagoon, Kallakoopah River, Warburton River and Lake Eyre North onto William Creek for lunch at another iconic outback hotel. From here we fly over the Anna Creek Station (the world’s largest cattle station), the Anna Creek Painted Hills, Olympic Dam Mine and Roxby Downs before landing back in Port Augusta. All this whilst enjoying great views and commentary along the way.

COOBER PEDY & LAKE EYRE 2 days / 1 night

DAY 1: Departing Port Augusta or Hawker SA, the flight will take us over Wilpena Pound, the Flinders ranges, several Gorges, Aroona Dam, Leigh Creek open-cut coal fields, Marree Man, Lake Eyre South and half of Lake Eyre North, landing at the remote town of William Creek for lunch (an iconic pub on the Oodnadatta Track). From here we fly over the beautiful Anna Creek Painted Hills onto Coober Pedy for your overnight stay. After settling into your unique underground accommodation, you will head out to the Breakaways on a sunset tour before returning for your evening meal.
DAY 2: After breakfast, you will take a tour of the Coober Pedy township, homes, churches, and mines all whilst learning the history of the underground way of life. You will then have free time to take a walk, visit the many opal shops and surrounds, then have lunch before joining up again to depart for Port Augusta.

FLINDERS RANGES, ARKAROOLA & LAKE EYRE - 2 days / 1 night

DAY 1: Departing Port Augusta we fly over the Flinders Ranges, Wilpena Pound, Gammon Ranges and the many gorges along the way to Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary for your overnight stay. After settling in and enjoying lunch, you will join the world famous 4x4 WD ridge top tour to Sillers Lookout. Afterwards you will have some free time before your evening meal in the Native Pine dining room. At 8pm you can join the Star gazing tour to the observatory, which is said to be one of the best locations in Australia to see the stars before retiring.
DAY 2: After breakfast we return to the plane and head to the remote airstrip on Etadunna station which is on the Birdsville Track. We then follow the Cooper Creek, over Lake Eyre North & the Warburton Inlet and across to the iconic William Creek Hotel for lunch. After lunch we return to Port Augusta via the Anna Creek Painted Hills, Olympic Dam, Roxby Downs and Lake Torrens.

EXTREME OUTBACK TOUR - 4 days / 3 nights

Next we depart for your flight over the Channel Country, Goyder Lagoon, Warburton River and the Simpson Desert on the way to Lake Eyre and onto another remote iconic pub, the William Creek Hotel for lunch. From here we make our way over the Anna Creek Painted Hills on to Coober Pedy for your overnight stay.
After settling into your unique underground accommodation, you will head out to the Breakaways on a sunset tour before returning for your evening meal. DAY 4: After breakfast, you will take a tour of the town, homes, churches, and mines all whilst learning the history of the underground way of life. You will then have free time to take a walk, visit the many opal shops and surrounds, then have lunch before joining up again to depart for your return flight to Port Augusta.

Located in the outback desert is a truly unique underground town that was built to avoid the scorching heat of the outback desert. In the 60's and 70's saw opal mining develop into a multi-million dollar industry. Many locals are still mining for opal today but the town relies heavily today on tourism as well. Coober Pedy has culture, charm and a unique lifestyle. Take the opportunity to visit old and current mines, chuches, houses and motels with a local guide. Options to also visit the Breakaways and the dog fence.
7.30am Depart Port Augusta and fly over Roxby Downs, Olympic Dam, Prominent Hills mine and the spectacular Anna Creek Painted Hills before landing at Coober Pedy for a locally guided tour of this wonderfully unique outback Opal mining town. You will experience the towns' rich history, diverse culture and outback charm, whilst visiting underground homes, churches, museums, opal mines, and other Coober Pedy specialties. Coober Pedy truly is like no other place in the world.
Enjoy a light lunch before your freetime to wander the township admiring the many opal shops and meeting the locals before flying back over the town and diggings of Coober Pedy, the great salt lakes, mini islands and vastness of this outback to Port Augusta. PRICE INCLUDES MEAL & GUIDED TOUR.
Additional Add On Option: Stay the night in an underground motel and take a sunset & breakaways tour before a meal at the Desert Cave Hotel. There are outstanding views to see, which highlight the ever changing colourful desert.
